CANOE / KAYAK RENTALS
We have six, Old Town®, 17' canoes,
made of a high performance
composite material. We also have eight, 17' aluminum canoes by Tracker® and
Osage®. Our four, 16', Old Town® tandem kayaks All Canoes, Old Town® Kayaks, and Dimension™ Kayaks are easy to handle and may be used by paddlers with little to no experience, as well as enjoyed by seasoned enthusiasts! Our two, Seaward fiberglass
composite Kayaks are 17' long and may be rented only by paddlers with
intermediate to advanced skills.

*We offer shuttle and delivery service to the local lakes and for Missouri River Trips; OR we set our customers up to safely transport equipment by themselves for their own convenience and cost saving. (some shuttles must be pre-arranged for schedule) *Lifejackets always provided with rental. Paddle the Missouri River Trail where Lewis & Clark journeyed! BASIC SHUTTLE SERVICE OPTIONS INCLUDE:
(See map below) Canoe/Kayak Rental in addition. All trip times are approximate, depending on variable conditions. Shuttles should be pre-arranged. Trips will be custom made to fit the desires of your group. (Example: The $73.00 shuttle to Clay County in Vermillion, SD, can be adjusted to a 2 day trip for those who wish to camp on the river and enjoy a more leisurely trip.) By inquiry: Options are also available for launching above the Gavins Point Dam, from Fort Randall to Running Water.
We can carry up to 11 canoes/kayaks and 13 people in one shuttle trip. A second vehicle, for additional passengers and/or boats, is charged according to the same rate scale as the first vehicle. Discounts apply for using your own vehicle when available for carrying additional passengers or equipment. We launch you either below Gavins Point Dam or at Riverside Park, and pick you up at your destination point. Your selection will be based on the length of time you wish to take. Nature has been beautifully preserved on this particular 59 mile stretch of the Missouri! Rental Rates: Our inventory rents by the hour or by the day. A 2-hour minimum rental is required. A 5-hour rental qualifies as a day rental. Items may be kept as a day rental from opening to closing, or anything 5 hours or more within the same day. Returns are due by 8 pm. Overnight possession can be arranged. Damage Deposits: Some rentals require cash or signed credit card authorization for damage deposits. Renters are responsible for damages. Deposits will be returned upon inventory inspection. DJ'S will send check by mail within 7 business days after rental completion for cash deposits, unless repairs require more time. Reservations: Reservations may be arranged with a credit card, cash or check paid in advance for day rentals. The full rental amount will be charged as a deposit to secure your reservation. Charge will be processed at the time of reservation, unless otherwise specified by management. In the unforeseen event that something should happen to prevent our boats from usability, we will issue a full refund of your deposit. We reserve the right to cancel availability as necessary, and will notify you of any such action as soon as possible. Cancellations: Cancellations made more than 30 days prior to rental date are subject to a processing fee of 10% of the reservation total, minimum $15.00. For cancellations made 30 days or less prior to rental date, deposits are non-refundable, unless we are able to rent it out to someone else. Only the above mentioned processing fee would then apply. Inclement weather: Reservation deposits may be refunded due to inclement weather, that DJ'S determines is unsafe or detrimental to the rental activity, less a maximum of $15.00 processing fee. Other: Prices and policies are subject to change without notice. DJ'S reserves the right to limit or refuse service to anyone.
